Miss Ruby Sue ~ silk statement necklaces + Giveaway

October 21st, 2009

il_430xN.88582606 Everything is coming up Roses! In the jaw dropping shop of Miss Ruby Sue on Etsy, owner Lori (mother of 4) creates the most stunning statement pieces to take any outfit from drab to FAB! These gorgeous necklaces are taking the fashion world by storm, and Lori’s creations have been featured in a number of high profile media outlets including: The View, Good Morning Ameria, The Today Show and more…

You can also find her “Angles Song’ and ‘Anthropology’ necklaces in select Anthropologie stores in the United States. As we gals know, a little Anthro goes a long way!

Of her company Lori says:
Miss Ruby Sue radiates effortless charm in bold colors, artistic patterns and a free spirit to make any woman of any age stand-out.” And it’s true, I had the pleasure of receiving the Giddy Up Girl bib-style necklace featuring stunning handmade silk flowers, hot pink girly tulle, and oodles of special touches. At first I was afraid to wear it, it was just so breathtaking – but I quickly conquered that and rocked out a basic tee and jeans with my new “Ruby Sue” wonder. Everywhere I went people stopped to ask me where I got that incredible necklace, I honestly think Lori needs to ship 10-20 business cards with each piece she sells because trust me…you’ll be handing them out! :) The pieces are well made, and you can tell they are created with love and vision in mind.

For High Impact jewelry, look no further than the customized and specialized shop of Miss Ruby Sue on Etsy. She also offers lovely hairpieces and headbands that make the ideal holiday gift for someone dear in your life.

If you’re planning a wedding, Miss Ruby Sue will work with you to create a Bridal piece that is custom designed and colored for your day in the spotlight.

For your special day or any day, I highly recommend the styling of Miss Ruby Sue. The only question I have is which piece I want to order next! – Daria

FAVI television is pure Bliss

March 8th, 2009

Bliss has landed in my studio in the form of a hot pink TV, can it be any more girly it matches my luggage?! Feast your eyes upon the 19-inch FAVI Pink 720p LCD HDTV DVD/Card Reader/USB Combo from FAVI Entertainment. This awesome television may look prim and proper, but even my husband was impressed to discover that it’s full of functionality. It’s truly like the Swiss Army Knife of media systems. Not only can you watch Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday night, but you can use this multi-use technology for so much more! Use as a desktop computer monitor, toss in your fave new DVD to watch (the DVD drive is built right in), drop in your camera card to view pictures as your own digital photo frame – it’s all jam packed into this sweet little unit from FAVI.

I first heard about FAVI Entertainment when I saw it featured on an episode of “The View” and how FAVI was supporting the Susan G Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer research. I was impressed with what I saw that day and contacted the company to find out more. I can honestly say that once I saw the product in person, that’s where my real excitement began. The HD picture quality is excellent, the unit is light weight and slim to suit your kitchen counter, desktop or bedroom. I also was impressed with the price point considering the quality of picture and the many uses and input jacks it provides, at $399 it’s a fantastic buy.

Plus it’s Pink, and we could all use a touch of that! – Daria
