Fashion Show – PB&J*Creations

March 2nd, 2007

Little Boys will stop traffic too, in the magnificent creations of Tracy from PB&J*Creations (formerly TP’s Boutique). We’re so excited to present an extraordinary Boys Clothing designer this week on Boutique Cafe’s Fashion Show.

We asked Tracy to share her inspirations with us:
“I love to design because I feel that it sparks my imagination. Boys designs are what inspire me the most. My youngest son is 3 and I like to see imagination through his eyes. The things that he loves is what I find myself designing the most. Being able to design something that make his eyes light up and put a big smile on his face brings so much happiness to my heart. I just only hope that my designs make other little boys feel this way when they see them.”

You can learn more about PB&J*Creations and their eBay Me page. To shop their auctions and listings you can find them on eBay. **Please allow time for the show to load. Fashion Shows are in Quicktime format, a free download here.

Fashion Show – Flowers for Lili

February 16th, 2007

When I first saw the designs of Hope from Flowers for Lili my jaw dropped. She incorporates the beauty of great fabrics with an eye for exquisite detailing, and has mastered the art of chic and shabby. We know you’ll enjoy the beautiful creations of Flowers for Lili this week.

We asked Hope to share her inspirations with us:
“Although my own Mother sewed for me as a little girl, I never had any interest to learn until my own daughter was born! We already had two wild boys, and then were (surprisingly!) blessed with a little girl. After shopping and dressing her, I just was never satisfied with anything I found and knew right away that I wanted to learn to sew and dress her to my hearts desire! So I got my first machine and sat for hours and days just learning and practicing by picking apart her store bought clothes!LOL I absolutely love all things frilly and with a ton of ruffles! I am definantly drawn to the girly girl sets, and Annalisa absolutely loves to dress up and primp and, of course, get lots of attention, so we have a wonderful time together from start to finish. Obviously, she is my inspiration and why I started, but selling on ebay and all of the wonderful friendships I have made, have become an important part as well. I look forward each day to chatting with my sisters of Gallerybay and drawing inspiration from them. As a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids who keep my days busy at school and each night with ballgames year-round, creating and selling on ebay is something that I can do at home and also always be there anytime the kids need me. So a special thank-you to all of my wonderful repeat customers, I am so honored that you continue to buy from me!:)

Thank You so much Daria for allowing me this opportunity to share-we LOVE Boutique Cafe!”

You can learn more about Flowers for Lili and their eBay Me page. To shop Flowers for Lili auctions and listings you can find them on eBay and soon on Blossom Street in Villa Fresca, debuting their shop on Feb 22nd with Natalie (themainebaby). You can also sign up for her newsletter on her MEpage where all members receive FREE SHIPPING as well as other specials throughout the year!

Fashion Show – Princesstomato

February 10th, 2007

We’re going funky and original this week in our Boutique Cafe Fashion Show. We wanted to feature the incredible artwork, fashion and design of Teri from Princess Tomato. Her lifelike hand-painted clothing with whimsical touches are legendary in the eBay boutique world. We’re thrilled to showcase Princess Tomato this week.

When asked about her inspirations, Teri says:

“Okay, okay,,,what inspires me? Probably sounds really dumb, but I do like to crack myself up. When I think of a character or subject I want to paint, I love to think about being in that character’s world. If I were really there, what would I be looking at, doing, thinking? When an idea makes me laugh or smile, then I am usually inspired to build upon it and complete it.Princess Tomato

Here is a quote by Gustav Klimt that I just ran across. Fits my mood for the day:
“Whoever wants to know something about me – as an artist which alone is significant – they should look attentively at my pictures and there seek to recognise what I am and what I want.”-Gustav Klimt

Ideas and opportunities usually come to me best when I have a spirit of gratitude about me. I cannot be grateful ENOUGH for being able to create and do what I love. That people would even consider buying what I do is just amazing to me. I have so many ideas and projects on the to-do list that it can be overwhelming. My current prayer is that one day I will be prepared enough to do something really wonderful—that the ideas that are currently on the back burner out of necessity will be able to become realities. Thanks so much, Daria, for having the vision to put together Boutique Cafe! It is a great community for designers and artists! ”

You can learn more about Princess Tomato and see her huge portfolio on their website as well as their eBay Me page. To shop Princess Tomato auctions and listings you can find them on eBay. **Please allow time for the show to load. Fashion Shows are in Quicktime format, a free download here.

When asked what Lark’s inspirations were for her clothing she simply says “Sophie inspires me in everything I do!”

Lark’s photography and model services are highly praised throughout the eBay Boutique Community. Fashion Show – Mod Kid

October 28th, 2006

Mod KidWe’ll take a Euro Inspired trip this week to meet the designer for Mod Kid. Patty Young is the proud owner/designer of Mod Kid clothing and is mom to two young daughters. She found the urge to create styles that reflect each child’s personality. Enjoy the show this week as Mod Kid reveals some hip styles that are 100% wearable, fun and inspired by cool kids like yours.

“I grew up wearing handmade creations that my mom, aunts and grandmother made for me. But back then we didn’t call it “boutique”—we called it “too broke to buy store brands!” When I became a teenager I rebelled against the handmade clothes and wanted only the latest store fashions. Of course, life comes full circle and when I finally had two girls of my own I found myself having the same “urge to create” that my mother probably had 30 years before (and a newly found appreciation for the craft!).

My daughters, Sophia and Sydney, are my sole source of inspiration for my boutique creations. Their funky and unique sense of style drive me to create clothing that reflects their personalities. My professional
background in design and photography, coupled with my insatiable love of fashion, gives me a unique perspective. Once I designed the first “boutique” set and it actually SOLD, I was hooked! And now, I live and breath it every day. Some nights I can’t even fall asleep because I’m dreaming up new designs and fabric combinations! Handmade clothing has finally earned the prestige it deserves, and I am so thrilled and proud to be a part of it! ” – Patty

Fashion Show – My Girl And The City

September 11th, 2006

My Girl And The CityThe fashion prowess of My Girl And The City is celebrated this week in our Fashion Show. Designer Kelly has created a clothing line that encompasses the many moods and looks of your little girl. We’re excited to showcase My Girl And The City this week! We asked Kelly to share about her business, why she loves it and her secret to success –
“I loved fashion as a little girl (even more than now!)... and although the stuff then were not the same as the cute ensembles these days… I remember that I always loved dressing up and feeling like a princess! Now as a mom I see the same enthusiasm from my 2-1/2 who will always asks to wear her favorite dresses and would do so everyday (if only mom’s laundry service could keep up!). Anyway… that is why I love creating pretty clothing for little girls. They love it… they live it… they dream about it… and they just look so cute in it! That is what inspires me.

As far as secrets to creating cute clothing—i would have to say thinking outside of the box. I think I really take that to the extreme—I don’t start a project having a specific design in mind. I always play with fabric along the way, figuring out what fun things to do with it. And from there things just fall into place.” – Kelly

“I have been offering my designs on ebay almost 2 years now and Blossom Street a little over a year. I love what I do! I was away for a little while but am back with all new designs! My designs come from my heart and it starts when I get the fabric in my hands or if I could just touch it, I always joke around and say, “my fabric talked to me” lol but when I see certain fabrics I already know what I want to create. I try to sketch out all of my designs and make alot of my own patterns, so they are unique and fresh! Sewing and creating for me isnt just a hobby, its part of my everyday life, Its my way of therapy, living, feeling free. When I am creating i feel like I am accomplishing something awesome. Fashion Show – My*Unbirthday

August 15th, 2006

My*UnbirthdayYou’re in for a treat this week, how ‘bout some unbirthday cake?! We’re thrilled to present the designs of Dayna from my*unbirthday in a featured spot on Boutique Cafe. We asked designer Dayna about her beautiful work and here’s what she had to say:

“The thrill for me isn’t one specific aspect of creating. Like many others who sew and design, it starts from going to the fabric store and getting excited about what new great prints I’ll find. Sometimes an idea for a design comes right away from looking at the fabric, and other times I’ll end up hanging on to 10 yards of a print that I love, but just can’t figure out what I want to do with it. I love to create colorful, wearable, fun, and fashionable clothing. You will seldom see me recreate a design more than a few times because I get easily bored. The 2 things that ultimately keep me going are my 2 girls demanding more clothing and my wonderful customers. It fills my heart to hear that a customer’s little girl loves her new outfit. Thank you so much for considering me for this Daria. You don’t know how much of a thrill this is for me! Thank You Thank You Thank You!!”

Her creations are timeless and classic with little special touches to make each outfit a sure favorite. We are excited to present the creations of Pumkinlittle in our Fashion Show feature this week.

“Pumkinlittle began in 2003, simply. I stumbled upon eBay and the boutique world and was off, designing and sewing as fast as my little fingers could sew. Four years later, I’m still designing and sewing because I love it! I can’t imagine a life without creating. I love every aspect of the process from the fabric shopping (of course) to the sewing, taking the pictures and learning photography, and the webdesign. The one aspect that sets this business aside for me is the personal relationships I’m able to build with my customers. I just enjoy them so much! Thank you Daria for letting me share on Boutique Cafe!!—Erica

Kandy*KissesKandy Kisses Boutique…where designs are always unique, and totally Sweet! Boutique Café© is so excited to feature the designs of Laurie from Kandy Kisses. Just one glance at her designs and it’s clear why her creations are so desirable and popular, their beauty is undeniable. I asked Laurie to share with us the secrets to her great success.

“Hi, I’m Laurie….owner, designer, and sole seamstress for Kandy Kisses Boutique. I`ve been sewing and designing for over 30 years and it has been my pleasure to now offer my designs on Ebay and Blossom Street. I am a stay at home mom to my 5 wonderful children…and this business allows me to be able to stay home with them. For that I feel so blessed and am truly grateful! I strive to be unique and original…I believe it is a key ingredient in any successful design. I love to include striking details and one of a kind elements in my work. Sticking with one particular style or trend is not for me….I love to try new and creative things…I love to venture into all aspects of design and encorporate fun and creative energy into making outfits that are over the top….and definately have a WOW factor! My designs will vary from sophisticated to funky and everything in between! Thanks so much to Daria for featuring my work!

You can view Laurie’s designs on Blossom Street Arbors Shoppe. She also has current listings available on eBay in her auctions. Learn even more about Laurie and Kandy Kisses on her About Me page.

Fashion Show – bella-bee*boutique

March 2nd, 2006

bella-bee*boutiqueDesigner Jennifer from bella-bee*boutique is charming customers with her sweet creations. Jennifer says “I am not sure why it was not until Madeline Isabella was born that I actually hungered for designing her clothing, I guess I did not think I was good enough to be a designer. That is until people started stopping me out of nowehere asking where I got her outfits, I was so ecstatic! Hence the name “Bella and Bee” because she never stops buzzing LOL. My slogan for my clothing line is as playful as the name OF the line Bella-Bee -”Buzzing Beauty for your little Bee-Bees”. My goal is to become known for ADORABLE long lasting quality boutique clothing lines/products. I want to be the “buzz” of the childrens fashion industry, so to speak.”

Thank you for viewing the fashion show of Jennifer’s lovely designs this week. You can find out more about bella-bee*boutique on her eBay Me page. Shop for Jennifer’s work here. And view her new group’s listings on eBay The Little Darlas.
