It’s always such a thrill for us to share great design talent, we know you’ll fall in love with the intricate hand knit and crochet flair from My Little City Girl. Designer Alla has created some mouthwatering girls clothing, her talent is breathtaking. Enjoy getting to know My Little City girl this week on Boutique Cafe!
Designer Quote:
” I have been knitting since I was a child, but rarely created any children’s items - I just did not have much motivation. Well, when I had my own daughter, I started imagining all the cute things she could wear and this is how I started designing children’s clothes. And then I realized that it was exactly what I wanted to do in my life. I love coming up with something new and different. I find inspiration everywhere… my family, kids world, imagination, yarn, textures, nature… My new venture is that a couple months ago I decided try my hand at writing patterns and done a couple already. They are testing now and will be available for sale soon. I’m so excited about that and would be so honored to see my designs made by somebody else

Christine has many talents including children’s fashion designer, amateur photographer and graphic artist - we’re thrilled to showcase her clothing on Boutique Cafe.

“What I love most about designing is the excitement I get from looking at the finished product, and hearing feedback from my customers. For me it’s all about the little girl’s who will be wearing my designs. My love of fabric and my two girls are what inspire me. I love finding a new fabric and dreaming up a set to put on one of my little girls, and watching it come to life. I am having so much fun creating.”

Our Fashion Show features the designs of Aida from Anna Bella Designs this week. Vibrant colors, charming fabrics, loving details and much more go into her designs for little girls.
Designer Quote:
“My children are my inspiration. Watching them play and interact with one another fills me with such warmth and happiness. The innocence of a child’s laughter can quickly erase the stresses of every day life. This holds especially true when I’m able to see the excitement in my daughters’ eyes, Bella & Anna, every time I create a new set. To hear the squeal of joy as they ask each time in our native language, Danish, “Mommy, is that for me?” makes what I do a passion and not a hobby.
I enjoy creating everyday garments for girls. My philosophy is quite simple – clothing should be simple in design, yet colorful, as well as wearable and comfortable. “

Bring on the Funk! This week Boutique Cafe features one of our fave designers…Angie Eisman from That Funky Boutique. Angie consistently wows us with breathtaking designs for children, they look like wondrous works of art, but fun and funky enough to wear- and believe us, you’ll want to! Kick back and enjoy our featured Fashion Show of That Funky Boutique. Please feel welcome to leave comments for Angie as well.
Designer Quote:
Why I love doing what I do:
“I’ve always had a creative outlet and it just simply fulfills me. Being creative is in my blood, I guess! My mom upholstered furniture for a living and my dad builds houses and does woodwork….both self employed DIYers. As long as I can remember I was sewing mom’s upholstery fabric scraps into tiny animals…stuffing them with her leftover foam bits. And gluing whatever wood scraps and sawdust I found under my dad’s saws into whatever my imagination thought up. I’m thankful that they never minded my messes and crazy collages. In college, everyone knew to find me in the art building where my professors granted me my own studio space. That led me to a BFA and a career in graphic design. Though my hearts not in graphic design as much anymore, I still do freelance work for Chatti Patti And Knuckleheads Clothing. And now here I am sewing children’s clothing. Mmmmm, I’m rambling but I guess the point is, I don’t know any different and wouldn’t have it any other way. I just love to use the gifts that I’ve been given. And to have people want to purchase what I make? Icing on the cake.” - Angie Eisman

Designer Quote:
“The THRILL of a new design is what does it for me!! I love coming up with something new and different. I find inspiration EVERYWHERE…children, fabric, nature… My favorite designs are those that convey a little bit of humor…usually inspired by the things kids do. I enjoy challenging myself to create something unique that will fit the personality of some child out there. My favorite thing to do is applique. It’s my form of art. I love when I start something, not knowing exactly where it will end up, and then having something come to life in the end.” - Annette Bower

Glitz, Glamour, Pettiskirts and Poof - the designs of PNC by Jodi Hattery are jam packed with all the frills, that make it deliciously fun to be a girl! Indulge in her Fashion Show this week.
“I had two year old and 6 month old boys and was expecting my third little boy Nathanial. When he surprised us by becoming Nataley instead, I went overboard in the frill factor. Whether it be limited edition girls clothing or our scrumptious couture costumes, the frill factor is still what is behind each of my designs today. I love little girls looking and feeling like little princesses. I don’t want to sell an outfit that goes without notice. I want to sell an outfit that will make the little girl squeal with delight when she puts it on the first time, and giggles to come from everyone that sees her.” - Jodi

This week we indulge in the beautiful fashions from Lisa of Iza Bella. Lisa’s designs are rich in scrumptious detailing and personality. When asked about her love of design Lisa shares:
“I believe my love for design started at an early age. I remember watching both my grandmother (who taught me the basics) and my great grandmother sew. At different points in my life I aspired to have a creative job of some sorts. In high school, I wanted to be a fashion designer for women and in my early 20’s I wanted to be a interior designer. It wasn’t until I became pregnant with my daughter that I found my true calling. I talked my husband into buying me a sewing machine for our anniversary and I started sewing little sets for my daughter before she was even born.
I get my inspiration from everything (my children, trends, fabric, color, etc.) but when the ideas hit me it’s usually in the shower. There have been times when I had to jump out and sketch something before I lost it. That is after all the only true place that a mom can be alone with her thoughts….well, most of the time.” Lisa

This week on Boutique Cafe, we’re pleased to bring you a Fashion Show highlighting the designs of Chelsea from Vintage Chic Boutique. Chelsea creates wonderful designs for little girls, from eclectic to traditional her love of great fabrics and beautiful details shine through.
When asked about her inspirations she says:
“I think because of the lack of creativity in my first 20 years of life, it is all just exploding out of me now! I starting sewing when I was about 20 years old and haven’t stopped since. I love fabric and I love the process of combining fabrics together and putting them into a design that is all my own. It is very rewarding to emerge from my sewing room after hours and hours of creating something and seeing the completed design on my model! I find inspiration everywhere. In my kids, flowers in the garden, magazines, and movies. I was watching a old movie the other day and saw the coolest dress on one of the actresses. I thought, “I need to make that for my next set!” I also draw from my own style and tastes. When something catches my eye, I take a mental note and then go from there.”

The classic beauty of Sweet Feet Boutique is our celebrated Fashion Show this week. Designer Amelia is amazing at putting together captivating colors, patterns and details to make her little customers shine. I love how she continually captures the essence of childhood in her gorgeous work.

Get ready for some fun! This weeks Fashion Show highlights the whimsy and playfulness of designer Kip from Kippydoodles. We asked Kip about her inspiration for her designs:
“Hi, I’m Kip of kippydoodles boutique. I design mostly for the little fellows but my feminine side occasionally shows through with a girl’s design. I am inspired by the strangest things. Such as the giggle of my son, the intellectual thoughts that my daughter can come up with, and my love for color and spice. I have a tendency to think outside the box on my outfit themes and add a splash of humor to all of my boy designs. Applique is my passion. It reminds me of being a small child coloring in fun, whimsical coloring books. I am a member of the design group, LimeVine. These girls are so fatastic to work with and discuss the daily challenges of motherhood. We definately keep things fun but we are also a group of hard-working mommies determined to make a difference in the boutique community.”

We can’t stop the Classic Cuteness in our Fashion Show this week. Boutique Cafe is thrilled to share the scrumptious designs of Andrea from Fleur L’enfant. ENJOY!
We asked Andrea to share her inspirations with us:
“My mom loved to sew for our family and home creating beautiful window dressings and pillows as well as sweet little sets for the entire family. Although I appreciated all of the handmade creations, I was not interested in sewing until my first child was born. I began sewing little vintage chenille dresses for her and then was totally hooked. I began selling on ebay a year ago and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I love all things “vintage” and find most of my inspiration through vintage textiles, button, lace trimmings and even vintage garments. I love to hunt for something beautiful and unique and then cut it up and mix it with some new fabrics to create a very unique style with vintage details. I have designed entire outfits around a rhinestone pin or vintage lace. Each time I am inspired to challenge myself more and more. I love trying new things and lately I’ve been mixing up textures as well. I find it adds so much interest to a set and it’s so much fun working with the different textures.
I am thrilled to be part of a wonderful new design group of friends called LimeVine. I am thankful for all of my sweet buyers and appreciate their kindness. Thank you Daria and Megan for inviting me to the fashion show this week. I love my daily cup of couture!” - Andrea

Little Boys will stop traffic too, in the magnificent creations of Tracy from PB&J*Creations (formerly TP’s Boutique). We’re so excited to present an extraordinary Boys Clothing designer this week on Boutique Cafe’s Fashion Show.
We asked Tracy to share her inspirations with us:
“I love to design because I feel that it sparks my imagination. Boys designs are what inspire me the most. My youngest son is 3 and I like to see imagination through his eyes. The things that he loves is what I find myself designing the most. Being able to design something that make his eyes light up and put a big smile on his face brings so much happiness to my heart. I just only hope that my designs make other little boys feel this way when they see them.”

When I first saw the designs of Hope from Flowers for Lili my jaw dropped. She incorporates the beauty of great fabrics with an eye for exquisite detailing, and has mastered the art of chic and shabby. We know you’ll enjoy the beautiful creations of Flowers for Lili this week.
We asked Hope to share her inspirations with us:
“Although my own Mother sewed for me as a little girl, I never had any interest to learn until my own daughter was born! We already had two wild boys, and then were (surprisingly!) blessed with a little girl. After shopping and dressing her, I just was never satisfied with anything I found and knew right away that I wanted to learn to sew and dress her to my hearts desire! So I got my first machine and sat for hours and days just learning and practicing by picking apart her store bought clothes!LOL I absolutely love all things frilly and with a ton of ruffles! I am definantly drawn to the girly girl sets, and Annalisa absolutely loves to dress up and primp and, of course, get lots of attention, so we have a wonderful time together from start to finish. Obviously, she is my inspiration and why I started, but selling on ebay and all of the wonderful friendships I have made, have become an important part as well. I look forward each day to chatting with my sisters of Gallerybay and drawing inspiration from them. As a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids who keep my days busy at school and each night with ballgames year-round, creating and selling on ebay is something that I can do at home and also always be there anytime the kids need me. So a special thank-you to all of my wonderful repeat customers, I am so honored that you continue to buy from me!:)

We’re going funky and original this week in our Boutique Cafe Fashion Show. We wanted to feature the incredible artwork, fashion and design of Teri from Princess Tomato. Her lifelike hand-painted clothing with whimsical touches are legendary in the eBay boutique world. We’re thrilled to showcase Princess Tomato this week.
When asked about her inspirations, Teri says:
“Okay, okay,,,what inspires me? Probably sounds really dumb, but I do like to crack myself up. When I think of a character or subject I want to paint, I love to think about being in that character’s world. If I were really there, what would I be looking at, doing, thinking? When an idea makes me laugh or smile, then I am usually inspired to build upon it and complete it.
Here is a quote by Gustav Klimt that I just ran across. Fits my mood for the day:
“Whoever wants to know something about me - as an artist which alone is significant - they should look attentively at my pictures and there seek to recognise what I am and what I want.”-Gustav Klimt
Ideas and opportunities usually come to me best when I have a spirit of gratitude about me. I cannot be grateful ENOUGH for being able to create and do what I love. That people would even consider buying what I do is just amazing to me. I have so many ideas and projects on the to-do list that it can be overwhelming. My current prayer is that one day I will be prepared enough to do something really wonderful– that the ideas that are currently on the back burner out of necessity will be able to become realities. Thanks so much, Daria, for having the vision to put together Boutique Cafe! It is a great community for designers and artists! ”

This week we present a fashion show full of kid coolness with designs from Hip Chick! Rhonda, the designer for Hip Chick has a unique style which incorporates femininity along with the hip and now. Hipchick…created exclusively for Trendsetting Tots World-Wide.
When asked about her passion for design, Rhonda says:
“I absolutely love creating little girl’s clothing–I’m hopelessly addicted to fabric and a friend recently turned me onto shabby-vintage fabrics–so I have some new designs in the works that’s a little bit different from what I’ve done in the past–but what I feel is “taking it to the next level” for me personally….there’s sooo much talent within my ebay group-WisteriaLane that I’ve got to stay on my toes to keep up…:) And though I do hope to continually grow my designs and ideas…my goal has always remained the same: to create sets that make people smile and that children love to wear.
I am committed to top quality workmanship and customer service. There are so many talented designers within the boutique community…I feel blessed to be featured on Boutique Cafe. Thank You. :)” - Rhonda
