And I’m not talking about the president of the Hair Club for Men. (Did you know he’s also a customer?) I’m talking about more affordable and “pure, natural & organic” reinforcements from Jason. In December of last year I reviewed Jason’s Cranberry Rejuvenating Body Scrub and Cranberry Hand & Body Lotion. I wasn’t a big fan of those two products but I am a big fan of their Thin to Thick hair care line…and not because I can see a difference in my hair.

The goal of Jason’s Thin to Thick Hair Care line is self explanatory; it’s supposed to nourish, revitalize, strengthen, etc. so your hair is healthier and stronger. Generally geared toward men I didn’t hesitate to enlist my husband’s help in testing the Pro-Vitamin Thin-to-Thick Hair Thickening Conditioner and Incredible Thin-to-Thick Revitalizing Scalp Elixir.

Though my hair isn’t thinning like someone’s I know I too wanted to test it out as I’m a firm believer in nourishing my color-treated, dry hair as much as possible. The Hair Thickening Conditioner is supposed to reinforce and strengthen weak, chemically processed hair by infusing amino acids into the hair cortex. Did it do that? I asked my husband, who doesn’t usually condition his hair, to try it out for about a week. When asked for his take on it for this review he gave a typical male response: “My hair feels softer. What is it supposed to do?” (Unless it’s a really cool stroller or digital camera he’s not much help.) But for him to say it feels softer is a big deal. I too tested the conditioner and I loved it. It deep conditioned in only 1-2 minutes versus the 3-5 minutes my other conditioner requires. It had a wonderful scent and best of all it restored softness to the most over styled, blow-dried part of my hair—the bangs.

The conditioner was easy; the Incredible Thin-to-Thick Revitalizing Scalp Elixir was a bit more difficult. For the life of me I could not get my husband to apply this elixir to his scalp at night and then sleep in it. He’s the guy who changes his pillowcase every few days and showers more often than the Seattle Sky. He just couldn’t do it, and I couldn’t quite get myself to try it out either. I generally don’t shower until dinnertime and I wasn’t sure I wanted the elixir on my scalp that long. But it does sound like a super cool, super powerful product in the fight against thinning hair. It actually sounds like the most important product in Jason’s Thin to Thick hair care line: “This revitalizing, preventative and corrective elixir purifies and energizes the scalp. Helps free hair follicles of debris which inhibit hair growth. Biotin, Folic Acid, Inositol, Cysteine(vege), (all essential to healthy hair growth), and hydrolized proteins help control thinning hair and excess hair fallout.”

For men and even women who are concerned about the health and well-being of their possibly (some are still in denial) hair, Jason’s Thin to Thick hair care products are worth a try, especially since they’re much more affordable than other options. On a side note, if you’re not worried about thinning hair and only want a really awesome deep conditioner, try Jason’s Mint & Rose Intense Moisture Treatment .
