Ron Paul was the only one in the House who voted against this bill. There were three Senators who voted against this bill- John Kyl, Thomas Coburn, and Jim DeMint. Why aren't they listed with those who have "taken up" our cause? The others have to "take up" the cause b/c they neglected us in the first place. These guys have been on our side all along.
All four of them deserve our gratitude and support.

To add to the list on congresspersons who are championing this cause- the ONE and ONLY congressperson who voted AGAINST this heinous bill in the first place- Ron Paul. All of us involved in this issue should write him a thank you note for being the ONLY congressperson to be looking out for our interests. If wish all the other representatives would actually read legislation and think it through like he did. It is so sad that he was the ONLY ONE.

It would be great it everyone emailed them a small business testimony and amending the CPSIA as a policy to promote economic recovery. Tell them your story and what CPSIA does to small businesses that are already fighting in this economy.

WEDNESDAY, January 14, 2009, 10:00 AM
Open Forum on “The State of the Small Business Economy and Identifying Policies to Promote an Economic Recovery.”
more info at - http://www.house.gov/smbiz/

I called and although this meeting is open to the public, it is too late to get on the schedule to speak. However, I was told I could email my testimony to formally go on record.

darienne.gutierrez@mail.house.gov

Everyone small business owner hould do this. Tell them how CPSIA unfairly burdens small business and micro manufacturers, how it goes against the Regulatory Flexibility Act, and how it makes it impossible to survive in this economy.

You have up to 7 days after the meeting to do so.
