Kushies’ My Bag, an overnight bag that makes my life easier!

April 29th, 2008

Ever since I reviewed toys from Kushies’ Zolo line I have been a big fan of the company. My kids have yet to tire of their Linkos, Libro Ozlo, and Boa (my personal favorite), so I couldn’t wait to review Kushies’ newest product, a child’s travel bag aptly named My Bag. A trip to Phoenix over spring break to visit friends proved to be the perfect test!

KushiesI’ve been as excited as my son to try out our new brown and blue, cute-as-a-puppy (literally) Kushies My Bag ever since it arrived. I actually had to hide it so it wouldn’t get worn out before our actual trip–my son dragged that thing all over the house proudly telling everyone it was his bag. I loved that it included insulated boxes and bags to help keep his things organized. It actually came with two insulated boxes, one for snacks (appropriately labeled “Yum!”) and one for medicine (”Ouch”), plus five bags all labeled with cute pictures representing what’s inside, from shoes to stinky clothes to pajamas. Personally I found I only truly needed the shoes bag and dirty clothes bag, but even just the use of those two helped keep the Phoenix dust and dirt off the few clean clothes he had.

KushiesAlong with the great little boxes and bags, My Bag has two generous outside pockets and an easy-open top so you can see pretty much everything inside without having to dig through it all to find that last clean pair of socks. We packed that thing full for our two-day drive, four-night stay, two-day drive back visit to Phoenix. It kind of reminded me of Mary Poppins’ carpet bag with its magical ability to hold everything and anything! For something appearing so small it had room to spare. (Kind of reminds me of my cinda b review from yesterday!)

We had plenty of room in our My Bag for our little one’s clothes, shoes, and special blanket, but if you tend to forget that extra pillow or favorite blanket, My Bag makes sure you’re prepared for the “are we there yet” drive, overnight stay or daycare nap time by including a soft, fleece blanket and pillow, which of course coordinates perfectly with the bag. And with two great options (the “cupcake” with orange and pink or the “puppy” with brown and blue) My Bag is the perfect travel bag for your little one and a perfect helper for you. You can get your very own My Bag from Kushies’ online store. –Emily

Oh, wow! My little guy is only 4 1/2 months. However, he goes to daycare 3 days a week, and this bag would be *great* for taking him to his “school.” Also, all of our family lives out of town; in just one week he’ll be taking his first trip to meet relatives across the country. So he’d get a lot of use out of this bag for years to come. Thanks for the opportunity!

  4. Ashley says:

I was a SAHM up until recently and I have started looking into daycare for my son so that I can finish up my degree. This would be perfect to send with him with everything he needs for the day! I could see using this all the time for that and of course short trips to visit family/ friends for the weekend.

Some times weekend shopping trips and sometimes driving to visit family (2 day drive) this would help to keep us organized. Currently I put everything in ziplock bags…but this is so much cuter! I could see us using it on our next trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa as we could pack all the stuff we need for our car trip and overnight in the hotel into this bag, meaning we wouldn’t have to drag all the other suitcases in to the hotel with us. Please sign me up for this most awesome giveaway!

    This is GREAT!
I have two little girls who this would be perfect for (I’d have to get another one).
My 16 month old could use this at day care everyday. I pack her two outfits, shoes and everything “just in case”. I take her there in her PJs, which the babysitter puts in a plastic bag. (It’s a family member, so it’s ok to take her not perfectly dressed at traditional daycare).
I do the same for my 16 week old!

If I could have a bag, that I could put BOTH of their clothes in, something cute, stylish, sturdy and could carry it all. It would be a dream come true!
If not.. I’m going to buy two of them on my own!!

Like a lot of kids these days, Little Bear is part of the jet-set! She goes somewhere most weekends. On some weekend nights she sleeps over at her dad’s house, and on other weekends our whole family goes and stays at Pufferfish’s dad’s house! I’m forever trying to find a backpack or something to stuff some clothes and toys in for Little Bear, and sometimes she just has to go with a plastic Jewel bag! (and once she carried her clothes to her dad’s house in an Easter basket!) With this bag, packing up Little Bear will be much easier, and she’ll love having such a cool bag for herself!
