SOYJOY is ‘fortified with optimism’

April 3rd, 2008

SOYJOYYou’ve heard soy is good for you but how familiar are you with its benefits? This superfood is a complete protein, which means it contains all nine essential amino acids. Soy is also low in saturated fat and helps promote heart and bone health. But if you’re not a fan of edamame then SOYJOY’s a tasty alternative (and it’s got a much better texture than tofu).

SOYJOYSOYJOY is a baked, all-natural nutrition bar made with whole soy and real dried fruit. With about 130 calories per bar, 8 grams of whole soy, 4 grams of protein, no trans fat, no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners, no preservatives, and gluten-free SOYJOY is a healthy way to snack. But with all that healthy stuff baked in it, does SOYJOY taste good? I was sent a sample of all six flavors, and I’ll admit, I had my favorites. The berry-flavored SOYJOYs were top on my list (Strawberry and Berry) with Peanut Chocolate Chip running a close second and Raisin Almond in third. They all had a very “healthy” taste to them, but those tiny bits of dried fruit in the berry flavors did a great job of hiding it. I wasn’t a big fan of the Apple Walnut or Mango Coconut (didn’t even finish eating those) but that doesn’t mean you mango and apple fans wouldn’t like them.

SOYJOYAt first glance they seem rather small but because of the high-quality protein and fiber they do a great job of satisfying hunger, especially when those handfuls of M&Ms, packages of Thin Mints, or bag of chips doesn’t do the trick. SOYJOY is not a meal replacement bar but it does a great job as a healthy, portion-controlled snack. And because there’s a good possibility SOYJOY can “increase your appetite for life” (without increasing your waistline), I’ll be adding SOYJOY to the snack shelf in our pantry (right next to the Spongebab fruit snacks and Costco-size case of Goldfish). Get your dose of daily optimism and get SOYJOY!—Emily

You have to be optimistic to take a second bite of a SoyJoy Bar!
