I love to shop on Etsy.com for handmade creations, there are always spectacular finds to discover. It continually amazes me how clever the products and creators are that sell on this site! I wanted to showcase some great organizational items to make your home office sparkle with personality and function. Here are some of the many cool things that can be found:

Well, i made the office in a can, and my idea for it came from sitting at my desk. I was looking around for some creative inspiration, and it just felt blah. So i decided to revamp a few things to make it feel more like me. But then after showing a few people they said they liked it, so I thought I’d share it with everyone! I just gives that simple girl, bright, and hint of fun that I love so much!

Wow! Thank you so much for featuring my Victorian framed magnetic message board in BoutiqueCafe. As my shop names suggests, I love all things vintage. I began transforming antique and vintage frames into magnet boards a year ago in conjunction with my Fridge Door Decor magnet business. So many potential customers would tell me that they loved my vintage inspired magnets (made from vintage buttons and costume jewelry), but that they wouldn’t work on their stainless refrigerators. I have always loved heavily molded Barbizon and Baroque style frames and wanted to create a practical, yet pretty solution. Plus, l knew I could include a set of my beautiful magnets with each frame. Since last year, I have saved many wonderful vintage and antique frames from a certain future in the bottom of a dumpster. I have so much fun refurbishing and upcycling them. I truly value the craftmanship and quality in the moldings and want them to add a little bit of old world artistry in today’s mass produced homes. Even the most mundane messages, appointment reminders and crayon pictures look like masterpieces when posted on these ornate frames. I have just purchased two gorgeous turn-of-the-century frames that I can’t wait to work on; and I am about to ship two frames to a customer in Japan. In addition to selling in my etsy shop, I sell to several local shabby-style home boutiques in Sonoma County and at craft markets. I also do custom orders using frames belonging to customers’ grandparents or just using a really great frame they hate to part with.

I love this site! I’m getting ready to check out a podcast.
Thanks for featuring one of my pieces! I don’t know my exact inspiration for this piece. I often have plans and designs before I paint but with this piece I changed my mind and went in a different direction in the middle of the process. I remember that I was listening to Azure Ray’s song Just a Faint Line while I was painting so I think that may be where the lines came from:)
I work from my home and we have a two-year-old daughter. I love that I can work from home! I started designing home accessories in 2003 I think. We had moved into a new space and for the first time had more than three rooms to live in. I was surprised that I couldn’t find any interesting or attractive office solutions. So I designed my own. My friends and family loved what I made and that’s what started it. Now there are a ton of great home and office accessories. It’s really exciting. I love what Sally at Shim and Sons is making just to name one. Oh, and Susy Jack also has really fresh designs. And for me the more I design and make the more I want to design and make. Every time I make a piece I have ideas for about four more pieces.
I’m working on designing a line that is a little more affordable right now. I love my pieces but the materials are really really expensive. I would love to be able to make a lot more at a time and also a lot of my friends can’t really afford my “Keep it Together!” desktop piece. Some can but I’d love to make something that’s more accessible. I especially feel this way now that I have a daughter. I think you think about money in a different way after you have children. At least I do. I’ll think “I could buy this gorgeous limited edition print OR I could buy Eve a whole new collection of puzzles and get her that super mega duplo set”
