And that’s a wrap!

None of my little ones have been big on the baby carrier thing. We’ve tried various slings and front-pack carriers and either they tire of it quickly or mom’s shoulders and back tire of it quickly. I had pretty much given up hope of every being “hands-free” with my new little one when I came across the CuddlyWrap from Peapod Creations. It was different from anything I’d ever seen and when they sent a sample for review I was totally happy to give it a try.
The first thing I noticed was the soft 100% cotton, and then I noticed how dang long the thing was. I was a bit overwhelmed by the directions at first, but when I followed them step by step it was actually easier than I thought. And placing my new little one in the Cuddly Wrap was pretty self explanatory (though I did double check those directions just to be sure). Once I had her in the wrap I couldn’t believe how little weight I felt on my shoulders and neck. The fabric cradled my shoulders and the way the wrap was positioned distributed her weight evenly. Within minutes I was hands free and she was out like a light. Being still under two months old, every sleeping moment is something to prize. I have used this wrap more times in one week than all the times I used all the other carriers together. And each time I use it Livi is as happy and content as can be. I’ve even included a photo of little Livi asleep in her new CuddlyWrap, and I never take the time to do photos! Though it is a lot of fabric to keep track of and may take a few seconds longer to strap on than a Baby Bjorn, it was worth the extra effort. The CuddlyWrap is the most comfortable carrier out there!
I could be a big fan of the CuddlyWrap even without knowing all the nifty details behind it, but perhaps you need to know those nifty details. Besides a design that is ergonomic for both baby and adult (baby’s hips and legs are supported; no stress points to cause strain on Mom’s or Dad’s neck, shoulders, or back), the CuddlyWrap has a long list of other benefits including decreasing levels of stress hormones, enhancing motor skills, promoting a quiet and alert state (yes, I said quiet), and stimulating brain development. Oh, and Mom can actually get something done around the house and type on the keyboard using two hands. Trust me, one-handed typing is not all that fun.
So if you’re like me and have tried your share of carriers, give the CuddlyWrap a try. Once your infant or toddler is “wrapped” and content and quite possibly asleep, you’ll be as big a fan of Peapod Creations’ CuddlyWrap as I am!—Emily

I have the Moby wrap (different company) and I love it. Looks like this wrap is the same idea. I can’t believe how comfortable my Moby is. No back pain at all! I was intimidated at first too but now it is so easy just to wind it around myself. I do get weird looks though when we’re out, lol.
