Itty Bitty Book Worm – preschool curriculum

September 17th, 2007

Please allow me to rave today as I share an exceptional pre-school curriculum offered by Itty Bitty Book Worm. It’s September, and the ideal time of year to consider supplementing your child’s education from home. Many of you may be considering home schooling, but are unsure where to turn. While others want to enhance the learning process with their own children, and assist them in learning from Mom. Whatever your goal, BRAVO!! I know that I have this desire with my pre-schooler and Kindergarten aged sons. That’s where curriculum & training specialist Tara Rison comes in.

Like many Moms, Tara decided that she wanted to be home with her own children. She had worked for a large child development center as a Curriculum & Training Specialist, but longed to be home with her kids. So she did what many ingenious women would do – “she used her background and years of experience to create a literature-based preschool program. One that combined current research with practical experience, incorporated basic skills into thematic units and included all necessary art materials.” That’s how Itty Bitty Book Worm was born.

Upon receiving the September kit for preschool aged children, I was completely blown away by the professional, well designed month long kit. Everything you could need it right there at your fingertips including lesson plans, 4 age appropriate books you will enjoy together and base lessons around, and the most creative and wonderful art kits to go along with the lessons. The art kits were so amazing and fun to do, my sons were thrilled to get in there and participate. There are three separate curriculum kits you can order on the Itty Bitty Bookworm website – Bo’s Kit for your preschool aged child including books, Bella’s kit for the same age group but without the books, and Bailey’s kit which is for children ages 18-36 months.

I loved this program and think it will be a true hit with your children, as it is with my own. It is specifically designed for children aged 18 months – 5 years of age, and tailored to meet the unique needs of in-home preschools, family child-care centers, child development centers and home-schooling families. You may order kits for larger groups, or small amounts for home schooling purposes. The best part of all is that you will developing a love of literature and reading with your children, and spending that time with them while they are young is the best investment you can ever make as a parent. Happy Reading! – Daria
