Tickets for the event are $25 via paypal this will include a light breakfast snack in the am, registration package, entry into our giveaways, and contributing to the room rental.

We are willing to open up the event to local interested moms and business women provided we have pre-registration. I know that morning is going to be hectic for us and so I think that will work best.

Mother Earth and Baby

March 29th, 2007

Mother Earth & Baby

Mother Earth and Baby is full of life’s little luxuries. This upscale online boutique is brimming with quality products for children and their adoring parents. Owner and mom, Terri Scinto had a dream to bring together all that was best and beautiful for babies and expecting moms.

There are so many gorgeous things on Mother Earth and Baby, plan on a lovely break to browse the categories and discover many unique and wonderful brands. Terri has certainly done her homework in the selection of her store items. The website is easy to navigate and beautiful to behold, there’s a feeling of calm when you wander through the virtual doors and discover new treasures for your child.

Mother Earth and Baby

I was sent a few lovely products to test from the Mother Earth and Baby store. The first was an ideal gift idea for all the Hot Daddies out there! What’s more attractive than a man who adores his kids? I was able to test the “Good Daddies Are Hot!” tee - well I didn’t test it my hubby Nathan did. The tee definitely suited my handsome husband, and he was genuinely excited about the shirt as it was such great quality, soft and really eye catching. I think it’s one of my favorite gift ideas this year for Father’s Day, let’s dress those HOT DADS!

Mother Earth & Baby

The next item I tested is pure luxury, in fact I’m enrobed in it as I type. The silky soft and wonderfully indulgent Cloud B Mommie Blanket - in velboa. Satin trimed and classy champagne in color, it’s the ultimate “pamper-me” item for worn out moms. What a treat to wrap up in a blanket that’s rich and made just for me. The Cloud B Mommie Blanket is large enought to comfortably share with your loved one or warm you up on your own. It’s delightful and a great Mother’s Day gift idea this year to be sure.

Visit Mother Earth and Baby for all the little frills and gifts of love for your special blessings. - Daria

**PROMO CODE: Mother Earth and Baby is offering our readers a special promo code to try their products. Recieve 15% off total purchase with code BCAFE15

It’s finally here! The day my interview with Paige and Gretchen airs on MommyCast! I’m very excited, and just hope I represented the community in a positive way. I’d love for moms all over to see the gorgeous creations of these amazing WAHM’s, and want to buy boutique! :)

If you have time to pop by, listen to the show, and leave a comment I’d be so grateful! The more comments for the show, the more attention it will get from new listeners.

I hope I represented the community well, they loved the designs and actually used several pictures from our fashion shows in the m4a version of the show! Congratulations to Flowers for Lili, Hip Chick, Blue Bottle Designs, Princess Tomato, Delaney’s Garden, Little Red Wagon, MoMo’s Clothes, Oli*Beli, SunnyBrook Farm Designs and Yummy Baby who each are mentioned in their show notes and images are included in the m4a version of the show!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!

Click Here to Download the show. I recommend the m4a version with images in the feed.

Thank you all so much for your support of Boutique Cafe and me as well. Thank you also to Paige and Gretchen who fell in love with our community and desired to focus on it for their audience. - Daria

Keeta Collection

March 29th, 2007

keetacollectionBlue & Brown Messenger/Diaper Bag Isn’t this bag just sophisticated and pretty? I’ve been an admirer of keetacollection for quite awhile now, but this blue & brown combination really grabbed me this morning. What a beautiful bag to use as your primary diaper bag. Roomy and so stylishly well made! My favorite feature is the bow.

Boon - Animal Bag

March 29th, 2007

Boon Animal Bag My house is full of Animals! Not only do I have four little boys, but a bevy of stuffed friends that could fill an entire room. Thank goodness I discovered the Boon Animal Bag, its brought me some lovely organized sanity and some fun for my kids.

First I must tell you how impressive the Boon line of products is. I’ve had the pleasure of testing several of their children’s products and I am in love with their style and usefulness for my family. There’s something really sweet about having children’s objects in your home that have great visual appeal, Boon has this in Spades.

Boon Animal Bag

The Boon Animal Bag is a great organizational wonder. It holds loads and loads of stuffed animals in one soft and stuffed place. Now instead of your child’s stuffed buddy just sitting there and gathering dust, he’s put to work making a soft landing pad/seat for your child. Kids love beanbags, but Boon does this one better as the mesh port holes unzip in several places to ad or subtract stuffed friends at will. I love that Boon makes the Animal Bag oversized and plush. It’s soft and the Oval bag is available in vibrant green or pink. But, if you have way too many animals you might try the Otto or Trio Animal Bags which have extra bubbled compartments for even more storage and seating fun.

Now you don’t have to cringe at the thought of yet another stuffed buddy joining your family ranks! Boon’s got the solution, and it’s a winner for both parents and their little kiddos! - Daria

Give your little one wings!

March 26th, 2007

Walking WingsBaby’s first steps are always a time of excitement for both parent and child, and yet that excitement is often accompanied by a feeling of anxiety, or is that just me? I don’t worry about the little falls on the soft carpet but I do worry about the tumbles into the barstools or towards the tile floor. I’ve recently found a product that will not only help with the anxiety but also make the learning-to-walk process easier and more natural for my little one.

Walking WingsWalking Wings, a product designed by two moms (yay!), helps your little one experience fewer falls and balance more naturally since she has her two hands free. And because she’s picking up the whole walking thing more quickly, she will also gain confidence and independence (not that we’re ready for them to be too independent just yet). And guess what? Walking Wings has a couple fantastic side effects for mom and dad: no more back pain from bending over to hold your little one’s hands and no tugging and twisting on her arms if she falls.

Keri Lotion…you know I’m a Softie

March 26th, 2007

The Daily Dish today is all about SMOOTH! It’s the time of year to really get our skin in great condition, for all those skin baring summer days ahead. I know that I struggle with the spring skin and wanting it to be soft, supple and moisturized. At the moment I can’t fathom showing off my white legs to the world, but the summer heat will take over soon, and cox us all into baring those legs and arms.

I was sent a bottle of Keri Lotions’ Original Moisture Therapy Lotion. To be honest, I am familiar with the brand of products and have bought Keri lotion before. What I really like about this lotion is the silky feel of it on my skin, it’s light and not gooey like some other lotions I’ve tried. I also appreciate the light scent which is pleasant and pretty, but not overpowering. When you smooth the Keri Lotion on, you’ll notice just how parched your skin has been. I was so excited to see my skin shimmer with this lotion, it looked healthy and nourished.

Keri Lotion offers several formulations in their skin care line, including: Advanced Moisture Therapy, Shea Butter, Sensitive Skin, Age Defy & Protect, Overnight Deep Conditioning & of course the Original Moisture Therapy.

Another great thing about Keri Lotion is that it is readily available at most drug stores, so it’s truly a snap to track down! Give it a shot and come back to let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your experiences with Keri Lotion (be sure to share which formulation you have tried). Can’t wait to show off those hot summer legs! - Daria

Fashion Show - Kippydoodles

March 23rd, 2007

Get ready for some fun! This weeks Fashion Show highlights the whimsy and playfulness of designer Kip from Kippydoodles. We asked Kip about her inspiration for her designs:

“Hi, I’m Kip of kippydoodles boutique. I design mostly for the little fellows but my feminine side occasionally shows through with a girl’s design. I am inspired by the strangest things. Such as the giggle of my son, the intellectual thoughts that my daughter can come up with, and my love for color and spice. I have a tendency to think outside the box on my outfit themes and add a splash of humor to all of my boy designs. Applique is my passion. It reminds me of being a small child coloring in fun, whimsical coloring books. I am a member of the design group, LimeVine. These girls are so fatastic to work with and discuss the daily challenges of motherhood. We definately keep things fun but we are also a group of hard-working mommies determined to make a difference in the boutique community.”

You can learn more about Kippydoodles on their eBay Me page. **Please allow time for the show to load. Fashion Shows are in Quicktime format, a free download here.

Whoo-tie

juniper*berries“Whooo’s Your Designer?!” :) I love Owls and so do my boys. This owl themed set by Juniper*Berries is the ideal set for summer coolness. They also have an adorable matching hoodie and pants in another auction - be sure to check them out.

In honor of Owls - here’s your Joke of the day:
Each evening bird lover Tom Rowe stood in his backyard in Devon, England,
hooting like an owl - and one night, an owl called back to him.

For a year, the man and his feathered friend hooted back and forth. Rowe
even kept a log of the “conversation.” Just as Rowe thought he was on the
verge of a breakthrough in inter-species communication, his wife had a chat
with next door neighbor, Nancy Hollis.

“My husband spends his nights “¦ calling out to owls,” said Mrs. Rowe.

“That’s odd,” Mrs. Hollis replied. “So does my John.”

Then it dawned on them.

Wildlife Works…it really does!

March 22nd, 2007

Wildlife WorksI’m going to jump right into this review because Wildlife Works is not only the brand of one of my favorite t-shirts but also a company that has seriously impressed me. Put simply, Wildlife Works is a pioneer in the production of fair trade sustainable fashion. But it’s not that simple.

Founded in San Francisco in 1997, the company created the 80,000-acre Rukinga Wildlife Sanctuary in Kenya, Africa, where “elephants, cheetahs, and 45 other large mammal species now roam freely.” The company also built and operates an Eco-factory next to the sanctuary, where members of the local community are employed to create some of our products. The company’s premium quality clothing designs and home fashions are inspired by endangered species and their habitats and are made from organic cotton, hemp, and other environmentally friendly fabrics. Impressed? I thought so.

The perfect jewel

March 21st, 2007

littleJULESI think jewelry is one of the best gifts you can receive on Mother’s Day (along with chocolate and a massage, of course), and if that jewelry comes inscribed with your little one’s name and birth date, you’ve got the perfect gift.

The idea behind littleJULES was born when Tania Condon gave birth to her son Julian at only 29 weeks. When the personalized bracelet her husband bought for Julian proved to be far too large for his little wrist, Tania set about creating her own silver ID bracelet for her new little one. Wanting to celebrate every moment of his life, Tania went on to design a stamp using Julian’s own hands and feet that she could use to inscribe onto handcrafted sterling silver discs. She added his name and birth date and she and her husband wore them on leather cords. Well, it’s not hard to believe requests started pouring in and the business grew overnight.

Easter—it’s all about the chocolate…

March 20th, 2007

Endangered Species Chocolate“¦right? And I’m fortunate enough to bring back one of my favorite chocolate companies, Endangered Species Chocolate, just in time for this candy-loving holiday. As you might recall, ESC believes “all life is precious and deserving of our respect, kindness and care,” and their chocolate supports their beliefs 100%.

This spring ESC brings you a fabulous collection of Easter treats. I absolutely love the Garden Finger Puppet Set with its trade-free butterfly, bee, and flower finger puppets accompanied by ESC’s famous””and fabulous””dark or milk chocolate Hoppy Treats. The Soybean Crayon Gift Set partners ESC with The Ocean Conservancy and promotes “conservation, coloring, and chocolate.” This perfect-for-the-kids’-Easter-baskets set comes with an eight-pack of soy crayons, a Sea Turtles coloring book, a three-pack of all-natural chocolate bars, and a bag of bite-sized milk chocolate Hoppy Treats. That Easter Bunny is so smart to combine education with extremely yummy chocolate!
