I’ve Gone Belly Up!
November 3rd, 2006
I love a simple product with a purpose, something that just works and makes your life easier. Even though I’m not expecting right now and lack the beautiful bump of mommyhood, I do remember fussing with my waistbands while pregnant and constantly being frustrated with my clothing not sitting right. Have you experienced the bump frustration? I just couldn’t get comfortable. My pants would fit me everywhere else but the waist, and forget about bending & reaching or your pants would slip down your hips. It’s no wonder some women are nervous about being pregnant, when so many mommys-to-be are red faced and frustrated at just keeping their jeans up!
Here’s a product that is sure to make you go Belly Up…but in a good way! They’re called Belly Ups and what looks like simple side suspenders to keep your pants in place is just that. How does it work? Take a pregnant woman and her fave pair of sexy jeans, once you hit month 3 or 4 you still want to look cute and you don’t want to wear those belly banded maternity pants from the 70’s, we’re all Hot Moms after all. What you need is Belly Ups, you can unbutton your normal jeans and attach Belly Ups. Clip one end to the side of your bra, clip the other end on the top of your waistband. Repeat on the other side of the body. HELLO GORGEOUS!!
Let’s try this again, you can also use Belly Ups with your maternity pants later in pregnancy as well, with all that shifting around there is bound to be some pulling and hiking up to do. The bands on maternity pants will roll down your belly, they did on me. Just clip on your Belly Ups and be confident. Even with lowrise maternity style pants, with Belly Ups there’s no worry about exposure and you can look ultra chic as a pregnant goddess. Rest asurd, if I ever am expecting again – I’m going Belly Up! – Daria
***Giveaway – Belly Ups is giving away one pair of their Belly Ups for one of our lucky posters! We’ll draw the winner from the comments on this review. The winner will be contacted via email and have 24 hours to claim her prize or a new winner will be chosen.

I hope they work as well as it sounds. I’m not pregnant now, but hope to have another baby some day!

Hi Daria,
It’s Ann….aka my*sassy*princess*kayle. Long time no talk. Sounds like an awesome product. Guess what? You may have heard….not sure, but I am actually expecting in January. January 5th to be exact but to be honest……I don’t think we have much longer to go. We are having another little girl….Lily Grace. Kayle is so excited and cannot wait until she arrives either. It has been her and only her for 7 years but bless her heart….she is so ready to share Mommie and Daddy with her little sister. I will be the first to tell you…..maternity clothes are no fun right now with all the expanding. I so can’t wait to be back in my clothes again and I wish I would have known about this product about 5 months ago. Literally, I started wearing maternity clothes at 8 weeks….LOL. Awesome idea/product. I am sure they will go over very well.
Hugs to you girl!
Ann, Kayle and soon to be Lily

What a great idea! I only wonder if you can actually wear them with more fitted tops without them being too noticeable. But I would love these for keeping up a few of my maternity pants. They always slide down when bending over or stiting down!
