I know, I know. The official saying is “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” Well, my friends don’t have the time or energy to squeeze all the lemons in their lives so instead I turn things around be giving them a card from Life’s Lemons.

Life’s Lemons believes in “squeezing the humor out of life,” and you know me, it’s all about humor. Their line of greeting cards definitely takes a different approach to helping someone get over, say, a recent lay-off or divorce. And that’s what makes these cards so much fun. I love reading the history behind the company. Three sisters were sitting around, each lamenting the current drama they were experiencing, from divorce to the worst 41st birthday ever. But they found they weren’t crying but rather laughing about life gone wrong and that’s how Life’s Lemons began. The company is actually run by only one of the three sisters, as she was the only one with the time to put into it. Of course, that was the result of being laid off from her current job! I can’t think of a better example of taking life’s lemons and making some very sweet lemonade.
