It’s all about the packaging
July 17th, 2006
Being a fellow mompreneur I understand the importance of packaging when it comes to shipping, displaying, or simply storing your inventory. I’ve found a couple sites I absolutely love for all my packaging needs. Papermart has a huge selection of items, from organza bags and gift boxes to tissue paper and raffia, and from what I’ve found, the most competitive prices as well. Creative Food Packaging is also a winner with some of the most decorative and unique packaging around.
This might appear to be a boring review for some, but I get pretty excited about tissue paper and ribbon. We send all our shirts out wrapped in two colors of tissue and tied with raffia ribbon. It’s the little touches that help separate you from your competition, and both Papermart and Creative Food Packaging have all the little touches you could ask for. They’ve even got those great little Chinese take-out boxes–I love those!
So if you’re in the market for something to spice up your inventory and impress your customers, check out both of these sites. I guarantee you’ll find the perfect thing! – Emily

Emily! I loved your review on this, it came at the perfect time when my Brother-in-Law is getting married and we’re trying to discover ideas for fun original wedding favors! These boxes and bags are so cute. I also know so many of the Boutique Designers and even Moms want to wrap their creations or gifts in something extra special. Great finds – thanks!

these are really cute, and emily – your website is adorable!!! also a totally unrelated use (daria, this might be good for your BILs wedding) for these take-out boxes i’ve seen before…for a mashed potato bar (yum!) at an event…mini chinese takeout containers held the mini-portions. fun! thanks!

What great resources!!! We all can kick it up a notch with packaging probably! It’s always fun when something is nicely or creativly wrapped!

Too true–even if you’re not in the business of buying supplies for a business, these do offer some great ideas for weddings, parties, and other fun get-togethers. Maybe instead of buying those disposable containers (Ziploc, Gladware) you can stock up on take-out containers and to-go cartons!

I also get really excited about tissue paper, ribbons, bows, boxes…….all the fixin’s needed to make a present out of anything. All my items are wrapped up like a present and anywhere I can find something unique and pretty is always a bonus.
I really like the chinese food boxes, even though they are too small for my stuff. I really like the metallic (can we say bling?!) tissue and the ‘Petals’ patterened tissued paper. It would be really cool to match my packaging to my product!
Wow! Great review & resource. Thanks, Emily!
