AGHHHH…Daria I SO empathize with you girl! WE are moving the middle of July, so I know what you are going through with boxes and tape and STUFF, LOL!!! I’ve decided we are having a yard sale for everything we haven’t used in a year….and if it doesn’t sell, I’m donating it! I just DO NOT want to move all this stuff! Good luck though!!:):) And LOVE the pic…Meg did that??LOL!;)
And I can’t thank you enough for featuring my auction on the auction scramble, what a LOVELY surprise—I’m honored! Especially since, AHEM….I had my camera on macro mode the whole time I was taking pics and then it was too late to redo them…so I’m just glad you can tell its an outfit and not a big blur, LOL!
TRULY, I appreciate it so much! You ladies are fantastic!!!!

Thanks for the additional mention!
Did I tell you, we just moved last week! Here’s my advice:
Once you’re in, try as quickly as possible to get all boxes into one room. Give yourself a week of living amidst boxes to finally move everything that’s left to a spare room.
Try not to let junk from boxes you’ve partially unpacked pile up; clear out the junk before continuing to open boxes.
Keep a hammer and nails out, and try to hang at least a painting or two a day.
And finally, pack a suitcase for everyone with 3 days of clothes so you don’t have to unpack clothes right away. Also pack in those suitcases a cleaner and paper towels or rags (wiping out cabinets, etc., etc.), utility knife (to tear down boxes), tape measure (to see if furniture will go in certain places before you move it there), hammer and nails (pictures for walls), a bit of dishwasher detergent, a bit of laundry detergent, plastic silverware and paper plates.
Oh and one more thing, make sure they hook up your washer/dryer the day you move in or the day after. You will want this. It’s amazing how dirty things get in the move (and in case you have to wash your suitcase clothes before you unpack your clothes boxes!).
Good luck!!!

DEE I am so EXCITED you are moving back home. When Wade and I moved it was the worst thing for me…I had been moving around with years worth of Junk…and keeping everything because I thought I needed it. How wrong was I!!!. The first thing I did was went through my clothes( yes there was lots….) I did not want to part with any of it because I thought I would fit into it all again some day…I packed on some pounds…however I donated some of the really old stuff, and the rest I put on consignment and if it did not sell they dontate it…so then I moved onto Stuff…I went through everything. I got rid of ex bf momento’s gifts, pictures, I only kept the really sentimental stuff. I got rid of all my old stuffed animals, and only kept my absolute favorites. I then got rid of all my stuff that i did not use, or was ever going to use…I had tons of bath stuff, and extra bed stuff ( for a bed I no longer own) It was crazy…But in the end it worked out great because I got rid of all my junk, Wade did the Same…and now our stuff is low clutter and we love it that way. I am going to have to get rid of some more stuff once I am pregnant to make room for the Baby and all of its things one day…but I am not pregnant and will worry about that when it happens…I wish you all the best for your move…call me if you need anything I will be around. Take care and good luck

Daria,
I think after you are finished moving and settled in some, you should do a show about moving. Teach us everything you learned….what to do and not to do……all your tips and other listeners tips that were learned from experience. I feel it would be a great resource for your listeners.

Okay Daria, this is your ABI !!! I am on here as a first time visitor with AuntCathy
We are discovering the wonderful things that you show at Boutique Cafe, and I think there is lots of great and extroardinary designs here that I never knew about !
We HAVE to talk about the DIAMOND SOOTHER !!! Gorgeous Dahhling ! I want to see it in a little baby’s mouth ! When we went to that site, we also found the BEST Tshirt- I think my Mom definietly needs one!
Its the “Nanny Deprived” one and its all in diamonds, too! You have to check it out!
We also really liked the models in Lillapaloosa’s listings- I learned a few new poses from them !
See ya! I will come back later for sure!
Love

My favorite moving tip-use Rubbermaid boxes (each member of the family has their own color). It makes organizing so much easier. They are durable and can be stored in the garage, keeping their contents clean and dry. Make sure and show us some pics of your new house. Sending you virtual energy! Suzanne
