“Anybody want a Peanut?”
May 30th, 2006
With baby slings and baby wearing these days the proof is really in the pudding, for a novice like myself all those buckles, straps, loops and long pieces of draped fabric were daunting at best. That’s what I loved about The Peanut Shell carrier, it’s simple! Just swing it over your head and under one arm and go (don’t forget the baby). But the wonders of this carrier go beyond simplicity. I absolutely loved the fabric””a vibrant wave microfleece that was butter soft to the touch and stretched a bit with baby. If microfleece isn’t your thing, don’t worry, because The Peanut Shell comes in so many colors and fabrics that you’ll want to pick up several for your stash. Other features I adore are the brilliant little “sanity saver” hook and smartly placed pocket””now your keys (or a toy for baby) are right within reach.
I tested my Peanut Shell sling out with my 19 month old Noah who’s never been “worn” before. I’ve had other contraptions and holders but he never took to them and I always ended up with a sore back because of a poor fit. To my elation The Peanut Shell tamed my little wild man in seconds and he snuggled right in like he was born to it. Even in Noah’s joy I still was waiting for my back to start aching but honestly it was a pain free, if not comfortable and supported ride.
With The Peanut Shell by Goo Ga you’ll not only have a content and happy baby, but you’ll look like a million bucks while carrying them too. -Daria

Can I join in? I wasn’t lucky enough to review this one, but I have a girlfriend who’s adopting a baby girl (after having 4 boys including twins) and I’d love to give her one of these! These look great! I never had a child who enjoyed the sling thing, but maybe the next one will (um…if there’s a next one!) (M)

I’m in the midst of planning a jaunt across the world with my 7-month old, and this looks like just the ticket to manage airports and 12 hour plane rides in relative sanity. Now deciding the colour is the only hurdle. But if I could have two! (M)

Here in Hungary people dont wear their babies at all. I am trying to use my ultimate baby wrap that is way too stretchy and so uncomfortable now for my 14 pounds 4 month old. I would love to have a pouch to be able to carry my little one as long as my back can take it:) I tell everyone that there is nothing that feels so touching and gentle that having your baby right at your heart.

Wow, the PEANUT SHELLS look very comfortable and easy to use. I have seen the others, and they all looked to complicated. I have know mothers who have tried many different ideas of the same thing, but always give up using them. My niece is going to give birth in February and I think the PEANUT SHELL would make a wonderful gift for her new little one. It’s kind of a heart to heart thing….I love it.

I had already seen the Peanut Shells on-line and I was absolutelly in love with them. The thing is, since I live out of the US (in Portugal), I couldn’d place my order. So it would be a really nice present you’ld give me and my eleven moth old baby, Santiago, cause we can’t get it anywere else. Should you decide to choose us for such beautiful gift, our’s would be a size M. And, by the way, could you sugest Goo-ga to take orders from abroad? Thank you!

I can’t wait to get a Peanut Shell! I am expecting #4 in August, and my current little one is 2 and loves to be carried. I am thinking that I could use it with him while I am pregnant (and get tired so easily carrying him!), then plop my little one in it once he or she arrives and have hands free for the other three little ones. I only wish I would have found this sooner!!! There is nothing like keeping that little one as close to you as you can for as long as possible. (size M … I think)

I’m (patiently) waiting to adopt my second child and I would absolutely love a Peanut Shell. I used a borrowed snuggly type thing that only lasted a short time until my back started hurting. Then I switched to the Ergo carrier (which I still use for my 2 year old). The Peanut Shell would be amazing to have for a brand new little bundle to keep my hands free to do things with my toddler. I’m a Medium.

I’m on my 3rd sling and not sure what to try anymore. I have read up on this sling and think it will be a good try. When I go out I usually have my 2 year old that I am running after- she thinks its cute that I have to chase her, a 6 month old that is very clingy - he thinks he is surgically attached, and my mom with Alzhiemiers who usually wanders off on me, so I think this is worth a try!
